My colleague and I are responsible for manufacturing ball bearings for our customers in the automotive industry. I began my industrial mechanic apprenticeship in 2014 at Schaeffler in Schweinfurt. After finishing, I began working in ball bearing manufacturing and have been working in three-shift operations ever since.
My volunteer position as a specialist paramedic at the Red Cross provides me with a work-life balance. I am happy to have a manager who supports me in this.”

Our own manufacturing facilities will be climate-neutral by 2030 and our supply chain will be climate-neutral by 2040. By 2025, we will already have cut emissions from manufacturing by three quarters from the 2019 level. We are focusing almost exclusively on specific reduction measures to accomplish this. Compensation measures are only used to offset unavoidable emissions.
